Planning for my next adventure

In September, I will set out on my next adventure: hiking the Camino Primitivo.

The Camino Primitivo, otherwise known as the Primitive Way, is the original and oldest pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. Though many frequented the route back in the 9th and 10th centuries, now less than 5% of pilgrims walk this trail. Impressively scenic and diverse, the Camino Primitivo is one of the hardest routes; with technical terrain, undulating paths, mountain climbs, and elevation changes, this promenade demands stamina. This path will take approximately 15-17 days to hike and is a bit shorter at 322km, although the terrain is harder.

I’m excited to finally be back on the Camino path soon. I’ve worked at albergues (hostels) supporting the pilgrims on the Camino, and it’s been an amazing experience. However, my enthusiasm for returning to the trail has only grown. This September, I’ll once again be on the trail, with my backpack full of everything I need, as I hike across Spain on this beautiful section of the Camino. I can’t wait to be on the trail in such a stunning area of Spain. Stay tuned for more posts as I prepare for this latest quest.
