10/13-14- Making progress! I’m now 64 miles from Santiago De Compestella in the province of Galicia. The terrain is once again different as the paths take you through small villages whose primary industry is cattle farming. Most of the last two days has been about natural beauty and so I’m posting photos more than writing.

This area of Spain is so lush and green. Most of the areas the path takes us through are tiny little villages, whose primary purpose is either cattle farming, or supporting the pilgrims on their journey on the Camino de Santiago. It’s a simpler, slower life, that includes some of the most amazing scenery! Just lovely!

This area of Spain is so amazingly beautiful and reminds me of all that we take for granted when we live in areas like this. The sheer beauty of the nature in this area…..the small towns that are older than most of any cities we have in the states..makes you think about slowing down and savoring what is around you.

My thoughts: Beautiful nature has surrounded me the last several days. It really does make you stop and think about how fast we move in our lives, and if we just take the time to slow down and look around us, you see and appreciate such wonderful things. For me, I know I’ll reach Santiago by Wednesday and Finesterre shortly thereafter. My life is forever changed by this experience. I’m feeling so humbled, fortunate, and appreciative of the entire journey. I know many people never have this opportunity. I am so grateful I’ve been able to be given this journey.
