Oct 17-18: The last two days I walked from O Coto through rolling hills, eucalyptus forests, and small villages. The weather has changed and itโs now turned cloudy with rain intermittently. My destination today is the town of Amenal, just 10 miles from Santiago de Compestella, where the Camino officially ends. Iโve walked over 525 miles to this point.

The last two days have just been lovely. The paths and towns have been full of beauty and surprises. Sometimes Iโve got my rain poncho on, sometimes the weather clears and I donโt need it. Most of the days have been filled with thoughts of the Camino since I started Sept 6th, reflecting on all the various places Iโve been fortunate enough to see and people met along the way.

My thoughts: Wow! Almost to the end of this journey. Hard to believe I actually walked across the whole country of Spain!! Today I hit over 525 miles walked, and tomorrow 10/19, I will walk an additional 10 miles and enter Santiago de Compestella, the destination for the Camino de Santiago. Crazy!! Iโm continually filled with a ton of emotions. Feeling humble, appreciative of this life changing opportunity, and a bit sad itโs ending, but also excited at the same time.
